GR-110 Jerte Valley – Silver Route

Pinos de Tornavacas MTB Route

Monte Reboldo MTB Route (Route 3 BTT)

Traslasierra Mountains MTB Route (Route 5)

The Traslasierra Mountains MTB Route (Route 5) is one of the most demanding cycling routes in the Jerte Valley BTT Center network. This circular route begins at the riverside park next to the Jerte River in Navaconcejo and initially follows the right bank of the valley until reaching the Las Monjas Bridge. From there the trail begins a long and challenging climb of around 15 kilometers through cherry orchards, oak forests and rural tracks until reaching the highlands of the Traslasierra Mountains, where the route climbs to elevations of around 1,500 meters near Canchal del Maqui and the Vaquerizas area. After the highest point, the route descends towards the village of El Torno and later connects with sections of the GR-110 trail before returning along the Jerte River valley back to Navaconcejo.

Tormantos Mountain Range MTB Route 6

The Tormantos Mountain Range MTB Route 6 is a circular mountain biking route that forms part of the Jerte Valley MTB Center network. The trail begins in the village of Casas del Castañar and climbs along the slopes of the Sierra de Tormantos, a mountain range that separates the Jerte Valley from the La Vera region. Royal Path Route (PR-CC 15)

The Royal Path Route (PR-CC 15) is a short-distance hiking trail that links Navaconcejo with the mountain village of Piornal along historic paths traditionally used for trade and communication between the valley and the highlands. The trail begins near the Jerte River at the children’s park in Navaconcejo and gradually climbs through landscapes of cherry orchards, chestnut groves and oak forests until reaching the plateau where Piornal is located. Canchal del Maqui Trail (PR-CC 7)

Signposted short-distance hiking route starting at Fuente del Regajo in the upper part of El Torno and climbing to the area known as Canchal del Maqui in the Traslasierra mountains. The trail passes through cherry orchards, mountain meadows and forests of oak and chestnut, as well as traditional stone shepherd huts used in the past by local herders. Along the way hikers can enjoy wide views over the Jerte Valley and discover elements of traditional rural architecture. The route takes its name from the guerrilla fighters known as “maquis” who once used the area as refuge after the Spanish Civil War.

Cascada del Caozo Trail (SL-CC 32)

The Cascada del Caozo Trail (SL-CC 32) is a circular hiking route that links the village of Valdastillas with one of the most famous waterfalls in the Jerte Valley. Santiago León Cave Route (SL-CC 13)

Jewish Quarters Route (PR-CC 10)

Garganta de la Puria Trail (SL-CC 28)

The Garganta de la Puria Trail (SL-CC 28) is a circular local hiking route starting from the outskirts of Rebollar. The trail covers about 6.3 km and typically takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete, with an elevation gain of roughly 265 metres and an easy difficulty level. From the village, the route follows the road toward El Torno for about 800 metres before turning onto a track that passes through cherry orchards and oak woodland. The path reaches the bridge over the Garganta de la Puria stream, where a small picnic area is located. From there, the trail climbs gently along a zigzagging path that runs parallel to the stream, passing waterfalls, shaded forest sections and lush riverside vegetation.
