Description

The Pinos de Tornavacas MTB Route is a circular itinerary of the Jerte Valley MTB Centre that explores mid- and high-mountain areas around the municipality. With a distance of about 26.5 km and nearly 1,000 metres of total elevation gain, it passes through landscapes of oak woods, mountain gorges, and areas close to the Garganta de los Infiernos Nature Reserve. The route follows forest tracks and mountain paths, passing places such as the Collado de los Brezos and the Cerro Serradores. It is a demanding route recommended for experienced cyclists.

General observations

Sendero GR-110. Desciende 37 km por la mitad baja del Valle del Jerte siguiendo el río Jerte desde Cabezuela del Valle hasta Plasencia. Señalización roja y blanca (tramo Plasencia sin señalizar). Ideal para realizar en dos etapas tranquilas.
