The Rebeco High Mountain Route is a circular high‑mountain itinerary that starts in Tornavacas and covers some of the highest peaks in northern Extremadura. With more than 24 km in length and a total elevation gain of around 1,700 metres, it crosses high‑altitude areas such as Risco de la Campana, Canchal del Turmal, Portilla de Talamanca, and El Torreón, the highest summit in Extremadura. The route runs along ridges, broom shrublands, and mountain areas with no defined path along many sections. It is a demanding route aimed at experienced mountaineers.
