The Los Hoyos canyon is an introductory canyoning route located in a tributary of the Papúos Gorge near the village of Jerte. The activity usually lasts between two and three hours and is designed for beginners with no previous canyoning experience. The descent includes small rappels of up to about 15 meters, natural water slides of around 6 meters, and short jumps into clear pools. The route runs through a scenic mountain gorge with riparian vegetation, waterfalls, and granite rock formations. Because of its moderate difficulty and controlled environment, it is suitable for beginners and families with children over 10 years old when accompanied by professional guides.
