Las Monjas is a sport climbing area located near Cabezuela del Valle in the Peñas Albas area of the Jerte Valley. The site features more than fifty equipped routes on solid granite rock, with route lengths between 5 and 15 meters and difficulty grades ranging roughly from V+ to 7b+. Climbs mainly follow slab formations, cracks and small edges typical of granite climbing. The area is easily accessible from a forest track branching off the N-110 road and from the nearby SL-CC 22 hiking trail. Its natural surroundings allow visitors to combine climbing with hiking routes and nearby natural bathing areas along the Jerte River.
