Nogaleas Canyon is one of the most popular canyoning descents in the Jerte Valley, located in the gorge that flows from the Traslasierra Mountains down to the Jerte River near Navaconcejo. The activity begins with an approach walk of about 15 to 30 minutes following part of the SL-CC 33 hiking trail. The descent itself usually takes between two and three hours and features classic canyoning elements such as rappels, natural slides, jumps and clear water pools. The route includes around eight to ten rappels, some reaching more than thirty meters in height, making it an exciting canyon suitable for both beginners and intermediate canyoners under proper supervision. The environment is cool and shaded due to the surrounding oak and chestnut forests, with a succession of waterfalls that define the landscape of the gorge.
