The route passes through cherry orchards, oak woods, and various mountain streams such as the Calvarrasa and Beceda gorges, following old rural paths. Its main destination is the cave-shelter associated with the Carlist guerrilla fighter Santiago León, who used this spot as a hideout in the 19th century.
