Description

The Cherry Blossom Route (PR-CC 2) is one of the best‑known trails in the Jerte Valley, especially in spring when the cherry trees are in blossom. This circular route starts in Tornavacas and passes through cherry orchards, oak and chestnut woods, as well as areas close to the Garganta de los Infiernos Nature Reserve. Over its approximately 22 km, visitors can enjoy landscapes that are representative of the valley and the surroundings of the Jerte River. The route blends nature, agricultural tradition, and some of the most emblematic spots in the region.

General observations

Sendero PR-CC 2 señalizado con blanco y amarillo, una de las rutas más populares del Valle del Jerte partiendo desde Tornavacas. Recorrido mixto: ida y vuelta en el primer y último tramo, circular en la parte central. Desciende junto al río Jerte entre cerezales, rebollares y castañares; desde el Collado de las Losas cruza la Garganta de los Infiernos por el Puente del Sacristán, recorre Los Pilones y deshace los pasos de Carlos V antes de regresar a Tornavacas por Jerte.
