The Cascada del Caozo Trail (SL-CC 32) is a circular hiking route that links the village of Valdastillas with one of the most famous waterfalls in the Jerte Valley. The trail is about 7 km long and usually takes around 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete, with an elevation gain of roughly 265 metres and an easy difficulty level. The route starts about 500 metres from the village near the bridge over the Garganta Bonal stream and follows paths and tracks through orchards, olive groves and terraced cherry plantations. The highlight of the hike is the Caozo Waterfall, where water cascades down a smooth granite wall creating one of the most iconic landscapes of the valley. The return path passes through cherry orchards and rural tracks before reaching the starting point.
