Description

The Hermitage of Santa María Route (SL-CC 29) is a circular trail of about 4.2 km that starts in the historic center of Tornavacas and explores the traditional landscape of the Jerte Valley. The route passes through agricultural terraces, cherry orchards, oak woods, and old bridle paths, showcasing the characteristic rural surroundings of the area. Along the way, it crosses bridges and mountain streams such as the San Martín gorge and visits the ruins of the Hermitage of Santa María. It is an easy route, suitable for most visitors.
