The Altarpiece of the Most Holy Christ of Mercy is a 17th‑century Baroque work located inside the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Tornavacas. It houses the image of the Christ of Mercy, an anonymous sculpture of great devotion in the Jerte Valley that was enthroned in 1645. The image is notable for its expressiveness and for the presence of two angels at its feet within the altarpiece ensemble. This altarpiece is part of the church’s artistic heritage and is one of the main religious landmarks of the municipality.

The altarpiece is located inside the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, situated in the centre of Tornavacas, near Calle Real. From the N-110 road, access the village via the signposted entrances and continue on foot through the historic centre until reaching the church, where the altarpiece can be viewed during worship hours or authorised visiting times.
It can be visited throughout the year, preferably during church opening hours or during religious celebrations when the image of Cristo del Perdón takes on particular significance.
