The Cimero Bridge is a historic stone bridge located over the Jerte River in the upper part of Tornavacas’ town center. Of medieval origin, it was one of the first constructions promoted after the municipality was granted the title of villa in the 14th century. For centuries it served as the main crossing point over the river within the village and is an essential part of the structure of Calle Real de Arriba. The bridge was renovated in the 18th century and recently restored, preserving its historical character and its value as a local heritage element.

Puente de Cimero is located in the upper part of Tornavacas, along the continuation of Calle Real de Arriba, where this street crosses the Jerte River. From the N-110 road, access the town center and head uphill through the main streets following signs to the historic quarter; on foot, simply follow Calle Real de Arriba until reaching the bridge, while by car it is recommended to park nearby and approach on foot.
The bridge can be visited throughout the year as part of a route through the historic center and along the banks of the Jerte River, adapting the visit to weather conditions. Spring and autumn are especially pleasant due to the river’s flow and the surrounding colors, and they are also ideal times for photography and walking.
