The Main Square of El Torno is the central meeting point and social hub of the village. It is home to the Church of Our Lady of the Virgin of Mercy, one of the town’s most important historic buildings. The square serves as a gathering place for both residents and visitors and hosts local festivities and traditional events. Several streets of the historic centre depart from this space, surrounded by traditional Jerte Valley architecture.

Access to the Plaza Mayor is from the N-110 road by taking the signposted turn towards El Torno and ascending via the local road to the urban center. Once in the village, follow signs to the town center or Town Hall to reach the square, which is best explored on foot after parking nearby.
It can be visited throughout the year, although it is especially lively in summer and during local festivities such as August 15 (Nuestra Señora de la Piedad) and October 18 (San Lucas Pijotero), when the square becomes the main setting for celebrations.
