Plaza de España is the main public square of Piornal and one of the most representative places in the village. Paved with traditional granite slabs, it features a central monument related to the traditional wine press and a fountain dedicated to Saint Roch, guarded by sculpted wolves. The square is the main stage for the famous Jarramplas festival, held every January 20 and declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest. During this celebration and other cultural events, the square becomes the lively social center of the village.

Plaza de España is located in the center of Piornal, near the Town Hall building and other municipal services. It can be easily reached on foot from any point in the town, and for those arriving by car, it is sufficient to follow signs to the town center and park in nearby streets or designated parking areas, completing the final stretch on foot.
The square can be visited throughout the year, but it becomes especially significant around January 20 during the Jarramplas festival, when it turns into the festive and ritual heart of the municipality. It is also a pleasant place during the summer months and on other occasions when cultural activities and community events are held here.
