The Open-Air Museum of Painted Facades in Piornal is an artistic project that turns the village’s traditional houses into an outdoor gallery. Launched in 2016 by the local council in collaboration with the University of Fine Arts of Seville, the initiative features dozens of murals painted on building facades. The artworks depict themes related to the Jerte Valley, such as cherry blossoms, local landscapes, the Jarramplas festival and scenes of rural life.
