Located east of the village of Tornavacas, in the area known as Las Navas at about 1,170 metres above sea level, this viewpoint offers a wide panorama of the Jerte Valley. It is equipped with benches and an interpretation panel that helps visitors identify the surrounding landscape. From this point it is possible to observe the mountains surrounding the valley, including the Puerto de Tornavacas mountain pass to the north and the opening of the valley towards the city of Plasencia in the distance. The Sierra de Tormantos can also be seen, where Peña Negra of Tornavacas stands out, along with the San Martín gorge and nearby dehesa landscapes. At the bottom of the valley flows the Jerte River between villages and cherry orchards. The area is surrounded by Pyrenean oak forests and includes a picnic area and a nearby shelter. The viewpoint can be reached on foot via the PR-CC 3 Wolfram mines trail starting in Tornavacas, or by car via a concrete track leading up to the viewpoint.

The viewpoint can be reached on foot from Tornavacas by following the first section of the PR-CC 3 Wolfram Mines trail, which starts in the upper part of the village at the end of Calle Real de Arriba and climbs through oak woodland toward Las Navas. It is also possible to reach it by car via a concrete track that ascends from the village and leads almost directly to the viewpoint, where a small rest area is available nearby.
The viewpoint can be visited throughout the year, offering very different landscapes depending on the season, from cherry blossom in spring to ochre tones in autumn. In summer, it is advisable to avoid the central hours of the day due to sun exposure, and in winter it is recommended to check for possible fog, ice, or snow on the access tracks.

It is recommended to wear comfortable footwear, appropriate clothing for the altitude, and sun protection, as well as to bring binoculars to better enjoy the landscape. Combining the visit with one of the signposted routes in the Las Navas area or with a walk through the historic center of Tornavacas is also a good option.
If accessed on foot via the PR-CC 3 trail, there are sections with moderate slopes and stony surfaces that may be demanding for those not used to hiking. The concrete access track for vehicles can be narrow in some stretches and may present ice or moisture, so it is advisable to drive slowly and carefully, especially in winter or in foggy conditions.
