**A stop along the way offering one of the most beautiful views of the Garganta de los Infiernos Nature Reserve.** Following the path/road that leads to Los Pilones, this viewpoint offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Manto de la Virgen waterfall, one of the most unique and frequently photographed spots in the nature reserve. Surrounded by forests and mountains, it is the perfect place to pause, enjoy the scenery and marvelling at the power of the water that has shaped this landscape over the centuries. An unmissable stop for anyone walking the trail to Los Pilones and wishing to discover some of the best-preserved treasures of the Jerte Valley.

Access is on foot via the Los Pilones Trail from the Nature Reserve’s Interpretation Centre (N-110, between Jerte and Cabezuela del Valle), where you can park. After an uphill walk of around 2.3 km through oak and chestnut woods, a signposted turn-off to the left, just before reaching Los Pilones, leads directly to the viewpoint.
Spring: This is the ideal time of year. The spring thaw causes the waterfall to flow at full capacity, coinciding with the cherry blossoms in the valley. Autumn: After the first rains, the waterfall regains its strength and the oak groves along the path take on spectacular golden hues. (Note: In summer, the waterfall’s flow decreases significantly).

Footwear and equipment: Wear hiking boots with good grip for the steep path and take enough water for the walk. Extend the route: Make the most of the walk and carry on for a further 500 metres to Los Pilones to enjoy its famous natural pools.
Opening times and light: Do the walk in the morning to avoid the summer heat and to make the most of the light for photographing the waterfall. Safety and respect: Please stay behind the safety railings at the viewing point and do not stray from the marked path, as this is a protected area.
