This viewpoint is located on the road connecting Piornal with Garganta la Olla, a route classified by the Provincial Council of Cáceres as a scenic road. It offers spectacular views of the landscapes located between the regions of La Vera and the Jerte Valley. From this point visitors can enjoy views of the Sierra de Tormantos, part of the southwestern foothills of the Sierra de Gredos, as well as wide panoramas of the La Vera region. It is recommended in any season: lush green landscapes in spring and summer, a wide range of colours in autumn, and even snow-covered peaks in winter.

It is accessed by car via the local road connecting Piornal and Garganta la Olla, where the viewpoint is signposted as a stop along the La Vera–Jerte Valley scenic route. There is a designated area nearby where vehicles can pull over, allowing visitors to park and walk a short distance to the observation points.
It can be visited throughout the year, with spring and summer standing out for the greenery of forests and cherry orchards, autumn for the variety of colours on the hillsides, and winter for views of the snow-covered peaks of the Gredos range.
