Picnic area located next to the N-110 road shortly after leaving Cabezuela del Valle in the direction of Jerte. The site is surrounded by lush riverside vegetation and provides a cool shaded place to stop and rest while travelling through the Jerte Valley. The area is formed by a small grove of deciduous trees such as alders, ash trees, willows and poplars that provide shade for most of the year. A small stream runs through the area, creating a humid environment that supports a rich biodiversity of birds and other wildlife typical of the valley. The picnic area includes tables, a children's playground, a fountain and a nearby parking area.

From Cabezuela del Valle, follow the N-110 road towards Jerte and, shortly after leaving the urban area, the Prado de la Fuente rest area is signposted along the roadside. The picnic area has direct access from the road and a small parking area, from which the tables and wooded zone can be reached on foot within a few metres.
It can be used throughout the year, although it is especially pleasant in spring and summer, when the shade of the alder trees and other deciduous species provides a cool environment. In autumn, the area also becomes particularly attractive due to the changing colours of the riparian vegetation.

It is recommended to use the picnic area as a stop during a drive through the valley, bringing food and water to enjoy a meal under the shade of the trees. Visitors should keep the area clean, use bins or take litter away, and supervise children in the playground and near the stream.
As it is located next to the N-110 road, extra caution is required when entering and exiting by car, signalling manoeuvres and keeping children away from the carriageway. After rainfall, the ground may be wet or waterlogged, so appropriate footwear is recommended and care should be taken when walking near the water.
