Lancha Resbaladera is a sloping granite outcrop located near the village of Piornal, traditionally used as a natural slide. The smooth surface of the rock has been polished over time by repeated use, making it a popular play spot for generations of local children. Similar formations, known as “sliding rocks,” appear in ethnographic studies and are sometimes linked to ancient symbolic or ritual uses. Today the site represents a small natural and cultural landmark connected to the local traditions of the Jerte Valley.

The Lancha Resbaladera is located within the urban area of Piornal, near Calle de las Escuelas and the open space of the bullring square, where it is commonly used as a reference point in local directions. It can be easily reached on foot from the town centre by following signs towards the schools area and the bullring.
It can be visited throughout the year as part of a walk around the urban area of Piornal. On dry days it is more comfortable to approach and use the rock, while after rainfall the surface can become particularly slippery.
