The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption is the main parish church of Tornavacas and one of the most representative religious buildings in the Valle del Jerte. Declared a Site of Cultural Interest, it displays a predominantly Baroque style with elements from earlier periods. Its interior houses notable altarpieces from the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as pieces of goldsmith work such as a 16th‑century processional cross and a 17th‑century silver monstrance. The vault of the sotocoro and the original stone flooring, uncovered after recent restoration work, are also noteworthy. The church is an important historical, artistic, and cultural landmark of the municipality.

The church is located in the urban center of Tornavacas, near Calle Real, the main axis of the town. From the N-110 road, access the village via the signposted turnoffs and, once in the center, walk to the church by following local signage or along the main streets leading to the square where the temple stands.
