Mountain stream gorge located between the municipalities of Rebollar and El Torno on the right side of the Jerte River valley. It is a fast-flowing watercourse that runs through slopes covered with oak trees, alders and cherry orchards, creating small waterfalls and scenic natural landscapes. Historically the stream was known as “La Furia” because of the strength of its flow during rainy seasons. The surrounding area can be explored through several signposted hiking routes, including the SL-CC 28 trail from Rebollar and the PR-CC 8 route linking El Torno and Rebollar. The area is notable for its riverside vegetation, waterfalls and views of the Jerte Valley.

From the road connecting Rebollar and El Torno, several well-marked starting points provide access to routes leading to the Puria Gorge, including the SL-CC 28 local trail and other itineraries. From Rebollar, the trail begins at the edge of the village along the road towards El Torno and descends along tracks through oak groves and cherry orchards to a picnic area next to the gorge, from where it is possible to continue upstream.
The best time to visit the gorge is during winter and spring, when water flow is higher and the waterfalls are more impressive. During these seasons, the riverside vegetation is particularly lush and the routes are very enjoyable, while in summer it is advisable to avoid the central hours of the day due to heat.

It is recommended to explore the Puria Gorge following the marked trails, wearing suitable hiking footwear and comfortable clothing, and carrying water and some food to make use of the picnic areas. It is an itinerary suitable for families with children used to walking, although children should be supervised near the water and on uneven terrain.
After periods of heavy rainfall, water flow increases and some sections of the path may become slippery or muddy, so extra caution is required when approaching waterfalls. The route is not adapted for wheelchairs or baby strollers, and the access road between Rebollar and El Torno is a mountain road, so driving should be done carefully and at low speed.
