The Hermitage of Christ of the Valley is a Baroque religious building constructed between the 17th and 18th centuries on the outskirts of Navaconcejo. Built with granite masonry and stonework, the structure consists of a rectangular nave divided into two sections by semicircular arches and covered by a barrel vault. Inside, an 18th-century altarpiece houses the image of Christ Crucified, known locally as Cristo del Valle, which is the object of strong local devotion. According to local legend, the image was being transported by oxen from Tornavacas, but the animals stopped and refused to move forward when they reached Navaconcejo, which was interpreted as a divine sign to build the hermitage there. The main festival dedicated to the Christ of the Valley takes place on September 14.

From the centre of Navaconcejo, the hermitage can be reached by following Avenida del Santísimo Cristo towards the outskirts of the town, heading towards the lower valley area. It is also accessible by car via the EX-203 or the N-110 roads, taking the signposted turn-offs towards Navaconcejo and continuing to the southern entrance area where the hermitage is located.
It can be visited throughout the year, although the most significant time is in mid-September, when the festivities of Santísimo Cristo del Valle take place, with the main religious events held on the 14th. At other times, it can usually be visited from the outside, and access to the interior may be possible depending on parish schedules.

During the September festivities, visitors should respect the religious nature of the celebrations and follow the instructions of the organisers and parish authorities.
The interior of the hermitage may not always be open to visitors outside of worship hours or festival periods, so visits may be limited to the exterior. On days of high attendance, such as during the Cristo del Valle festivities, traffic restrictions and limited parking availability may occur nearby.
