The Hermitage of Christ of Peace is a small religious building constructed in the late 17th century on the outskirts of Cabezuela del Valle. It was built after the end of the Portuguese Restoration War as a symbol of reconciliation and peace following the conflicts between Spain and Portugal. The structure features simple masonry architecture with a rectangular nave covered by a barrel vault and a chancel topped by a tiled dome that appears larger in proportion to the rest of the building. The entrance façade includes a semicircular arch doorway and a modest bell gable. The hermitage is enclosed within a small courtyard surrounded by a metal fence. Inside, a modern altarpiece replaces the original one that was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War, and the church houses an image of Christ crucified. In the 18th and 19th centuries the building was also occasionally used as a local school.

The hermitage is located near the urban center of Cabezuela del Valle, about 500 meters from the village, accessible from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento by following the paths and viewpoints that lead toward the hermitage area and its associated viewpoint. It can be reached either on foot, via a short gently sloping section, or by car, traveling along the local roads that connect the town center with the surrounding viewpoints and hermitage areas.
The hermitage can be visited year-round, without specific time restrictions, provided that weather conditions allow comfortable access. It is especially pleasant in spring and autumn, when the climate is mild and the landscape of the Jerte Valley around Cabezuela del Valle offers a very attractive setting.
