The Hermitage of Our Lady of the Conception is an 18th-century religious building located in the village of Piornal, in the Jerte Valley. Built with masonry and granite reinforcements, it houses a 17th-century polychrome wooden sculpture of the Virgin of the Conception, the town’s patron saint. The hermitage plays an important role in local traditions, especially during the celebrations held every December 8 in her honor. Situated on the outskirts of the village, it forms part of the historical and religious heritage of the area.
