Cruz del Torrisquillo is a stone cross located in the rural area of Piornal, associated with historic routes that once connected the village with nearby towns. The usual access is from Piornal, taking one of the traditional paths that leave the town in the direction of Plasencia and the mountain area, where the Cruz del Torrisquillo site is signposted. The final stretch follows a track and footpath through meadows and mountain scrub until reaching the large rock on which the cross stands.
It is recommended to visit the Cruz del Torrisquillo in spring and autumn, when temperatures are mild and the mountain landscape shows its best colors.
