Access is on foot via the SL-CC 35 circular route, known as the Chestnut Route, which starts in Casas del Castañar and ascends along paved paths and dirt trails through cherry groves and chestnut forests. By following the signage and interpretive panels, visitors reach a forest clearing where a panel indicates the presence of the Fuente de las Escobachas chestnut trees, from which the route continues back to the village.
Autumn is the most spectacular season to visit these chestnut trees, when the leaves turn golden and ochre tones and the ground is covered with leaves and chestnut husks. Spring is also very pleasant, while in summer it is advisable to avoid the central hours of the day and in winter visitors should consider muddy conditions and low temperatures.

It is recommended to complete the route with hiking footwear, seasonal clothing, and sufficient water, stopping respectfully near the trees without stepping excessively on the roots or climbing on their trunks. Visitors should always follow marked trails, read the interpretive panels, and combine the visit with other points of interest along the route, such as the Escondelobo chestnut trees.
The paths may include mud, loose stones, and exposed roots, so caution is required when walking, especially after rainfall. Although the route is suitable for regular hikers, it is not recommended for people with reduced mobility or for strollers, and extra care should be taken on narrow sections or sloping terrain.
