Waterfall located within the Garganta de los Infiernos Natural Reserve, also known as the “Chorrero de la Virgen”. The waterfall can be viewed from a viewpoint located along the trail leading to the famous Los Pilones bridge. During rainy seasons the water spreads widely across the granite rocks of the Risco Encinoso, forming a curtain-like flow. The area is notable for the presence of holm oaks growing among the rocky formations. In summer the waterfall usually carries much less water. Access is only possible on foot through several hiking trails within the reserve, such as the PR-CC 15 Ciane route, as vehicle access is restricted in this protected natural area.

Access is exclusively on foot from the Garganta de los Infiernos Nature Reserve Interpretation Center, following one of the signposted trails such as the PR-CC 15 Ciane route and others that pass by the Chorrero de la Virgen viewpoint. From the center, the route climbs along forest paths and tracks within the protected area until reaching the viewpoint, from which there is a frontal view of the waterfall; vehicle access inside the reserve is not permitted.
The best time to admire the waterfall is during autumn, winter, and spring, when water flow is abundant and the cascade spreads widely over the rock face. In summer, the flow is usually much lower, so the waterfall loses part of its visual impact and the route can be more demanding due to higher temperatures.

It is recommended to start the route early, wear proper hiking footwear, and bring sufficient water, some food, and sun protection. Visitors should always follow the marked trails and respect the rules of the protected area, and it is advisable to check conditions at the Interpretation Center before starting the route, especially regarding trail status and water flow levels.
As this is a protected area with restricted vehicle access, the route must be completed on foot and visitors should not leave the marked paths or approach dangerous or slippery areas near the watercourse. During periods of heavy rain or sudden water increases, some sections may become muddy or flooded, so extra caution is required and it may be advisable to postpone the visit.
