Waterfall located along the road connecting Piornal and Pasarón de la Vera, approximately halfway between the two villages. The waterfall can be easily observed from the road and is particularly striking during winter and after rainy periods. During the summer months the water flow often disappears almost completely, making the waterfall visible mainly in wetter seasons of the year.

The waterfall is located along the road between Piornal and Pasarón de la Vera, approximately halfway between the two towns, and is visible from the roadside. It is advisable to stop only in designated or safe pull-off areas outside the carriageway and observe the waterfall from the roadside, avoiding stopping on curves or in areas with limited visibility.
The best time to visit the Desesperá Waterfall is in winter and generally after periods of rainfall, when the water flow is strong and the cascade is more visually impressive. During summer and dry seasons, the watercourse often dries up, and little or no water can be seen on the rock face.

It is recommended to plan the visit after rainy days and to stop only in safe roadside areas, exiting the vehicle with caution. The stop can be combined with visits to nearby points of interest in the Jerte Valley or La Vera region.
Do not stop in the middle of the road or on sharp bends to observe the waterfall, as the road carries traffic and follows a mountain layout. In conditions of rain, fog, or ice, visibility and road grip are reduced, so extra caution is required when driving and when stopping.
