Ramón Cepeda Street is one of the main streets in the historic center of Jerte and one of the most representative urban axes of the town. It was rebuilt after the fire of 1809 caused by French troops during the Peninsular War. Along the street there are numerous examples of traditional and noble architecture, including stone buildings with semicircular arches, heraldic shields, and carved stone lintels dating from the 18th century. Timber-framed houses typical of the traditional architecture of the Jerte Valley can also be found here. The street is home to the Hospedería Valle del Jerte, located in a restored former olive oil mill and considered one of the most distinctive accommodations in the village.

It can also be reached by car, as it is one of the town’s main roads, although visitors should pay attention to local traffic directions and parking regulations.
It can be explored throughout the year as part of a walk through Jerte. Spring and autumn are especially suitable for enjoying the town’s atmosphere and the street’s architecture, while in summer it is advisable to avoid the central hours of the day if temperatures are high.
