Calle de la Iglesia is one of the main streets in the historic centre of Valdastillas and leads directly to the Church of Santa María de Gracia. The street represents the traditional architecture of the Jerte Valley, with houses that preserve characteristic features such as wooden balconies, adobe façades and timber frameworks typical of mountain villages. It connects the Plaza Mayor with the upper part of the village, where the historic washhouse of La Charca is located. From the central area of Valdastillas, walk uphill through the village streets following signs to the parish church, located along Calle de la Iglesia. Visitors arriving by car can access the village via the EX-203 road or from the N-110 by taking the appropriate turnoff, park near the center, and continue on foot along the street toward the church.
The street can be explored throughout the year as part of a walk through the urban center, adapting to the weather conditions typical of a mountain village. Spring and autumn offer mild temperatures and a particularly pleasant atmosphere, while in winter colder days and possible frost may occur.
