La Aldea Quarter is the oldest part of Cabezuela del Valle, dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries when it developed as a medieval settlement associated with the local Jewish community. Located in the upper part of the historic center, the neighborhood grew from a small hilltop down toward the Jerte River. Its narrow, steep and labyrinthine streets preserve a medieval urban layout, including shaded alleys and small passages such as Calleja de la Cárcel and Portal Viejo. The area forms part of the historic center declared a Cultural Heritage Site in 1998.

From Plaza de Extremadura and Calle del Hondón, walk uphill towards the upper part of the historic center, following signs to the Jewish quarter and Barrio de la Aldea. Access is only possible on foot through the steep streets of the historic area.
It can be visited throughout the year, being especially pleasant in spring and autumn due to mild temperatures. In summer, the narrow and shaded streets help reduce the heat, while in winter it is advisable to consider possible dampness on the stone pavement.
